For those carrying a tent there are sites suitable for wild camping as you travel behind the Knock of Braemoray between Dava and Dunphail. Please observe the Scottish Outdoor Access Code and in particular follow the advice on human sanitation Where to "Go" in the Great Outdoors.

There are no camping facilities within Forres itself but there is a variety of sites nearby. Brodie is only 3 miles off route and is close to the unique Culbin Forest with its walking and cycling routes that invite you to explore this unique forest and the associated sand bars and salt water marsh area. Findhorn is a little further from Forres but ideally suited to those planning to contiue along the Moray Coast Trail or simply explore this wonderful stretch of coastline.
